A responsible hiker chooses protective clothing and traditional mosquito repellent as mosquito protection

Mosquito repellers, such as Thermacell, that vaporize and disperse poisonous chemicals should not be used outside house yards. On nature trails and hiking destinations you should use protective clothing and traditional repellents instead of harmful repellers.

Thermacell uses prallethrin, which is a neurotoxin. It is very harmful to mosquitoes as well as all other insects and arachnids.
