Yhteistyö: Masked Company: Näkymätön

Näkymätön - koskettava, elämänmakuinen ja ajatuksia herättävä luonnenaamioteatteriesitys nuorista ja heidän arjestaan.   

Jokainen meistä on ollut nuori ja voi muistaa millaista aikaa se omalla kohdalla oli, mutta millaista on olla nuori tänä päivänä? Esitys pohtii ajankohtaista aihetta; miten meidän nuoret voivat tänä päivänä. Voidaanko puhua nuorten hyvinvoinnista vai pitäisikö kuitenkin puhua nuorten pahoinvoinnista? Esitys pohjautuu Salomaan haastattelemien nuorten, koulupsykologin ja erityisopettajan kokemuksiin aiheesta. 

Näkymätön on Suvi Salomaan seitsemäs käsikirjoittama ja ohjaama naamioteatteriesitys Suomessa. Salomaa on valmistunut näyttelijäksi Englannissa, ja hän sai oppinsa naamioteatterin tekemiseen Englannin johtavassa naamioteatteriyhtiössä Vamos Theatressa. Salomaan kanssa Masked Companyssa toimivat taiteellinen tuottaja Taru Eskonen-Myllylä sekä Antti Viitamäki. Naamioteatteri on fyysistä teatteria, jossa kokonaamio peittää näyttelijän kasvot ja näin ollen esityksessä ei ole ääneen puhuttua puhetta. Kaunis musiikki soi esityksen läpi luoden oman maailmansa katsojalle. Esitys sopii kaikenkielisille nuorille ja aikuisille.  

Näkymätön on valloittava ja kaunis sanaton maailma, jossa sanat joita ei sanota ääneen kuuluvat kovempaa kuin koskaan ennen.

Masked Company presents the masked theater show Invisible in collaboration with Jyväskylä City Theatre.

A touching, life-like and thought-provoking character mask theater performance about young people and their everyday life.

Each of us has been young and can remember what it was like for us, but what is it like to be young today?

The show reflects on a current topic; how are our young people today. Can we talk about the well-being of young people or should we talk about the sickness of young people instead? The performance is based on the experiences of the young people, a school psychologist and a special education teacher interviewed by Salomaa.

Invisible is the seventh mask theater performance written and directed by Suvi Salomaa in Finland. Salomaa has graduated as an actor in England, and learned the art of mask theater at Vamos Theatre, the leading mask theater company in England. Artistic producer Taru Eskonen-Myllylä and Antti Viitamäki work with Salomaa in Masked Company.

Mask theater is physical theater where the entire mask covers the actor's face and thus there is no spoken speech in the performance. Beautiful music plays throughout the show, creating its own world for the viewer. The show is suitable for young people and adults of all languages.

Invisible is a captivating and beautiful wordless world where the words left unsaid speak louder than ever.
